Only in Montreal can you take an old diner, turn it into a sausage factory, have it collect dust for a large number of years, and then revive it as some incredibly hip eatery complete with a dedicated oyster shucker, and white Canadian pure maple syrup cans as decor.
This place oozes with history, and while retaining its charm, has also been updated into a stylish eatery with gourmet eats and a well curated selection of local beers and artisanal cocktails. What was relatively unassuming from the outside, is met by a stylish and warm welcome — a great place to spend an evening with friends, or alone at the bar.
This is the kind of place that gets me totally stoked.
